RACE DAY REPORT
RAILS WERE PLACED AT THEIR ORIGINAL POSITION, RAILS WERE PLACED 6 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.
On a request from Trainer Deepesh Narredu, permission was granted to Trainer M. Narredu to saddle his charge ELEVATE in the 7th race, at his own (Trainer Deepesh Narredu’s) risk and responsibility.
RACE NO.1 (43) – THE ORIENTAL EXPRESS PLATE: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 9
EXOTIC STAR (S. Zervan, dr.6) was reluctant to be stalled. As such, Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, ABHYANKAR (App. Vishal, dr.1) jumped, veered out and went across MADISON (Neeraj Rawal, dr.2) who was marginally slow to begin.
At the start, SUSSING (K. Nazil, dr.4) was observed to have lost its footing and stumble.
At the start, JAGGER (T. S. Jodha, dr.8) jumped inwards thereby starting a chain reaction due to which EXOTIC STAR (S. Zervan, dr.6) ROYAL CHAMP (Antony Raj S., dr.5) were forced inwards onto SUSSING (K. Nazil, dr.4) who in turn shifted in and went across MAI TAI (Bhawani Singh, dr.3) causing the latter to be checked, Thereafter, JAGGER (T. S. Jodha, dr.8) further shifted in thereby tightening the field on the inside due to which EXOTIC STAR (S. Zervan, dr.6) and ROYAL CHAMP (Antony Raj S., dr.5) were inconvenienced. After questioning and not being satisfied, Jockey T. S. Jodha has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
Passing the 400 metres, HIGHGROUND (App. S. Siddharth) drifted out under pressure and went across EXOTIC STAR (S. Zervan) racing on its haunches. After the race, App. S. Siddharth reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight despite his efforts. As such, Trainer Sangramsinh N. Joshi has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockeys reported the following:
Jockey K. Nazil (SUSSING) reported that his mount was not galloping fluently, the mare was subject to veterinary examination and found to be sound. Further, at the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards an endoscopy was performed on the mare at the Equine Hospital and no abnormality was detected.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported the following:
ABHYANKAR was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have an injury on its left hind tendon.
ROYAL CHAMP & SUSSING were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.2 (44) – THE MAYOR’S TROPHY : (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 3
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported the following:
THALASSA was trotted and found to be sound.
GOLDEN DANCER was observed to have an injury on its left hind fetlock.
RACE NO.3 (45) – The AMJAD KHAN TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 8
At the start, HER CHARGE (Bhawani Singh dr.5) jumped outwards at the same time ALEXANDRIA (App. Bharat Singh, dr.6) jumped inwards and they made contact.
Passing the 150 metres, ORGANISED CHAOS (A. Sandesh) leaned in, at the same time AGATHA (App. A. Omkar) shifted out under pressure thereby in order to avoid clipping the front runner, ORGANISED CHAOS had to check and change course. After the race on questioning, App. A. Omkar stated that his mount was shying away from the railing and was inclined outwards in the straight despite his efforts. As such, Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported the following:
ALEXANDRIA was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore. As such, the mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
LORD MURPHY was observed to have injury on both its hind fetlocks.
RACE NO.4 (46) – THE DEVENDRA JAWAHARLAL MATHURAWALA MILLION: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 9
RIVAYAT (Antony Raj S., dr.4) was fractious and reluctant to be stalled. As such, Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
LUCKY DIAMOND (C. S. Jodha dr.8) was fractious and reluctant to be stalled. As such, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, LUCKY DIAMOND (C. S. Jodha, dr.8) jumped and carried G VALENTINO (Shrikant Kamble, dr.9) outwards, causing the latter to be steadied.
After the race, the Jockeys reported the following:
App. Haridas Gore (IGBO ORA) reported that his mount was running green throughout the race. This being the filly’s first outing, no action has been initiated.
Jockey Shrikant Kamble (G VALENTINO) reported that his mount was inclined outwards throughout the race. As such, Trainer P. S. Chouhan has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race
Jockey Shrikant Kamble (G VALENTINO) reported loss of whip at about the 400 metres marker. This being the first instance during the current Pune Meeting 2026, no action has been taken.
Jockey Yash Narredu (GOLDEN HUES) reported that his mount was running green throughout the race. As such, Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported the following:
LUCKY DIAMOND was observed to have an injury on its left hind fetlock.
RIVAYAT was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have an injury on its left hind pastern.
GOLDEN HUES was trotted and found to be sound.
IGBO ORA was trotted at the stables and found to be sound.
At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards an endoscopy was performed on GOLDEN HUES at the Equine Hospital and no abnormality was detected.

The Equine Hospital reported the following:
MUQADDAR sustained a right eye injury (sore) with ulcer.
RACE NO.5 (47) – THE F. D. WADIA TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 7
JAANDAAR (Vivek G., dr.4) lost about a length at the start.
At the start, RAMBO (Neeraj Rawal dr.7) jumped outwards and had to be steadied

Soon after the start, QUEEN OF BEAUTIES (Yash Narredu) leaned out and went across JAANDAAR (Vivek G.) causing the latter to stumble. After the race, Jockey Yash Narredu reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the early part of the race, despite his efforts. As such, Trainer Aman Altaf Hussain has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported the following:
LADY SCARLET & NEBULA were trotted and found to be sound.
JAANDAAR was observed to have injuries on both its hind fetlocks.
QUEEN OF BEAUTIES was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have an injury on its left hind pastern.
The Equine Hospital reported the following:
JAANDAAR sustained a right eye injury (sore).
RACE NO.6 (48) – THE WAVES OF GLORY PLATE : (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 9
At the start , SON OF A GUN (Dashrath Singh dr.1) jumped outwards onto STORMY SEA (N. S. Parmar, dr.2) causing the latter to stumble
AMAZING RULER (C. Umesh, dr.7) took a fly jump at the start.
Passing the 300 metres, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (BEE MAGICAL) was held up for room.
Approaching the 200 metres, ZAFFERANO (App Ramswarup) drifted out under pressure thereby carrying STORMY SEA (N. S. Parmar) outwards. After questioning and not being satisfied, App. Ramswarup has been fined Rs.1,000/-.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported the following:
AMAZING RULER was trotted and found to be sound.
At the behest of Stipendiary Stewards endoscopy was performed on NEUTRALIST at the Equine Hospital and found to have EIPH (Gr.I).
RACE NO.7 (49) – THE BRUNELLO PLATE : (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS -10
On a request from Trainer Nazzak B. Chenoy, STARSEED (T. S. Jodha, dr.7) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at 09.00 a.m. on 15th August 2026 at the stables and found to have an injury on its right fore bulb of heel. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds.
ENSKY (C. Umesh dr.6) lost about a length at the start.
At the start, SAMSON (App Aditya Waydande, dr.3) jumped outwards thereby forcing NEPTUNE (App. Ramswarup, dr.4) outwards onto ELEVATE (Yash Narredu, dr.5) causing the latter to be steadied.
Soon after the start, VEINNOISE (App. A. Omkar) shifted in and went across GO TONTO (S. J. Sunil) who was marginally slow to begin.
Approaching the 700 metres, EKLA CHOLO (Amyn Merchant) shifted in thereby bumping ARBITRAGE (App. Haridas Gore) racing on its haunches on more than one occasion. After questioning and not being satisfied, Jockey Amyn Merchant has been fined Rs.1,000/-.
After the race, the Jockeys reported the following:
Jockey Yash Narredu (ELEVATE) reported his mount was not galloping fluently. The gelding was subject to veterinary examination and found to be sore by right hind. As such, the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race. Further, at the request of Trainer Deepesh Narredu an endoscopy was performed on the gelding at the Equine Hospital found to have guttural pouch empyema.

After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported the following:
VIENNOISE was observed to have an injury on its right hind bulb of heel.
MAJESTIC WARRIOR was observed to have an injury on its right hind cannon.
SAMSON was trotted and found to be sound.
VIENNOISE was observed to have broken a left side tooth.
NEPTUNE was observed to have an injury on its right hind bulb of heel.

The urine samples of the ABHYANKAR (Winner – 1st race), RIVAYAT (Winner – 4th race), JAANDAAR (Winner – 5th race), LADY SCARLET (2nd place – 5th race) & NEPTUNE (Winner – 7th race) and the special samples of NEUTRALIST (6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substances.
